Anniversaries In New England
July 22, 2010
Page 1 2 3

It's the next day on the actual July 4th and we're in Bristol with the Flynns and Mairas ready to watch some sweet fireworks by the water! It's like we're one big happy family! One major girly happy family!
Happy!
So my wife pulls out this Soft Surroundings outfit
from thin air, and I fall in love all over again. Wait, how much did that cost?
My lovely mother. So glad you were able to join us on the trip!
My lovely mother-in-law with Williamo.
Mandy and Meliss. I know you hate me calling you that but that's exactly why I enjoy it so much.
The Thomases.
Your typical celebrity trying to go unnoticed. What a jerk.
"Wow. Micaiah's standing on that post. Let's take pictures."
Two years of bliss with my Meliss.
Sunset over Bristol, Rhode Island.
They shot off an actual 250 year old canon with Paul Revere's actual initials on it. Poor Locksley could only appreciate its intense noise.
The water's reflection made it all the more spectacular!
My heart went out to this poor guy rummaging through the garbage. Oh wait, that's Pa.
What a wonderful night. Time to go home.
So this insane heat wave hits New England during our stay. We're talking temps in the lower 100s. Thought we were leaving Missouri to escape the heat, and instead it stayed in the mid 80s at home. Anyway, what better way to escape the heat then at the beach! The boys and I bought some skim boards and had an absolute blast (save a possible broken rib that is still healing).
First let's get some lunch! I think I'm about to lose my lunch.
You might not be able to tell with us, but that's fake.
I ordered lunch, and instead they gave me a rock with a number on it!!! So I took it, and threw it on the GROUND!!!

lol, this was too fun. :-)
Lunch at Gilligans! See what I mean? Just looked and felt like California.
Mom treated us to some delicious fish and chips.
Just a random picture of Micaiah holding an oar.
Just a random picture of Matthew through netting holding an oar while grasping a rope.
Sweet sisters.
Mad Micaiah.
I really don't have a comment for this one, but it's obviously a very cool picture.
Nothing like the arms of your lover wrapped around you by the seaside.
The next day it was a visit to grandmother's! Or great grandmother's, in Will's case. Had an enjoyable time despite the 104 heat that day. (yikes!)
I think I drank more juice that day than any previous day in my 28 years of life.
One of those photos that gives a glimpse of your child at sixteen.

Groovy seeing you again, Uncle Johnnie!
Afterwards it was off to the Thomsen's for dinner.
Matthew, Marscel, and Seth.
Couldn't help get the feeling I was being watched by an immature Micaiah with a dumb plastic mirror toy.
Then they brought out these little finger-type puppets. "Easily entertained" took on a whole new meaning.
Another trip to the beach! Here's intelligence development in action. The 1-year old sticks his empty bottle in his mouth thinking he'll get drink, while the 6-month old attempts to get drink by sticking his bottle in the sand.
Micaiah was born to skim.
Marscel
was a natural.
I had a number of good rides, but a number more good falls.
Starts Friday at a theater near you.
Even the best are sometimes brought to their knees.
So easy to find free buried toys at the beach.
Thanks for these sweet shots, Matthew!
Micaiah.
Marscel.
Yablo.
"Those guys are incredible."
The next day Meliss held a craft get-together women thing. Here we have her and dear Anna at Jo-Ann's Fabrics.
The battle over Willy Locks.
That's pretty cute. :-)
The craft get-together women thing.
... meanwhile ... time for some manly 9-holes of golf!
The three hacks.
Matthew willingly took a ball to the face just to get this incredible shot.
Quite the gate.
You got something to say about my outfit? You wanna say that to my face?
Pa makes careful analysis. This ain't no torpedo software walk in the park!
Micaiah / Aiden.
This is what happens when a white Irishman tries to scale a 3 foot ditch.
Evening falls. Due to our snail-like pace, we only got 7 holes in, but it was a ton of fun. Thanks, Jeff!
