Hey Jor, Good job with the trailer. Yeah yeah, you think I want your blood in tennis...I call for a rematch. It couldn't be soon though, because I'm up in the Sandhills of Nebraska at the moment. I'll be praying for you.

Man, pretty uneventful blog to reflect your uneventful week.. well I'll tell you what I'd be aiming for if I had a bow and arrow in hand, and that would be directly for you. I could careless how it would affect one or one hundred people.. well ok, maybe one, and that is you :) I've noticed how when everyone else was working in that 95 degree weather, you were no where to be seen. While that walking stick was on the side of his head, you should have smashed it. By the way, just who the heck wouldn't be afraid of ghosts?? don't make me have to show you the way..

Man leave it to you to get all philosophical and Biblical with a trailer. You know Vision Forum doesn't go for that kind of stuff. They want frivolity and pure mindless entertainment. Oh well, better luck next time huh? ;-) Good job with that! I honestly can't imagine it would be denied, at least for content. lol I've never heard of the groomsmen, so I think you're safe. Let's just hope you all have harmony. Man that walking stick is huge! Talk about creepy. I remember you taking that picture when I was on the phone with you too heh. Sorry to see Marcus go, but God has a great future for him in Indianapolis.

Nathan

Can't think of a pithy, humorous quip to put here like everyone else.

Hi Jordan, your new trailer is AWESOME! We are all impressed here with the quality of your work, the sounds, the arrow caught in mid-flight, etc., but even more than that, I was struck with how 'making a LIFE' could be substituted for 'making a film' -- how it all applies, the pitfalls, the temptations to compromise -- the arrow carefully aimed to avoid all of them and hit its true target. I found it challenging personally. And thanks for posting our picture -- I am honored. :-)

Alright, Jor, you asked for it. Here's my "review" of your trailer. I was impressed. In all honesty that's some of the best cinematography and editing that I've seen in an indy film. Very profesional. Music and sound was top notch too. I like the message, but for me it came accross as overly dramatic, and maybe a bit heavy handed, both in the actual wording, and the tone of you reading it. But that's just my impression. Deffinitely should have gotten a better looking guy to shoot the bow and arrow. Still, like I said, overall, I was impressed, I think you did a fantastic job.

Hey Jon. Wow, Nebraska? I don't remember if you told me you were going there, and for what purpose. Hope you're having, or had, a great time. :-) You know what, Josef? You're just revealing to everyone how cruel and sinister you really are. I think you're the only one on this blog who wants to kill me (ok, I could be wrong about that). All I do is speak words of love and peace to you, and you treat me like dirt (lol). Anyway, oh that's right, Nathan, I was on the phone with you when Jer came in! Hah, wouldn't your mom just love to find that lovely creature in her closet? :-) Don't tell her I said that. :-) Ryan, lol, thanks for the "stinking cool" comment. I just saw your little film recently and I thought it was great (gonna leave a comment). Oh yeah, K, we have walking sticks everywhere. We have a rainbow type too that's supposedly endangered. Great to hear of your graduation. Congrats! Wow! A real comment from Marcus Schrader! I just emailed some of those pics to you, so hopefully you got them. Hope the move is going well! Hey Tang. Have fun teaching at the CI in Indiana! I used to love that (although I was just an assistant). Hope you get good kids. That's pretty key. :-) Hello, Mrs. Roney! Wow, thank you for your kind words regarding my trailer. That really means a lot to me. Hope all is well (and not too hot) over there in KS. :-) Yeah, Gerry, black is one of my favorite colors to wear (although I think I'm a "spring" ... or maybe an "autumn" ... I can never remember what colors match what season). Wow, Dave, your evaluation was much more positive than I thought it would be! Thanks, man. Yeah, you know, you're probably right about me being a little overly dramatic. I took so many takes, and honestly redid it a bunch of times for that exact reason. I guess I'm just too dramatic of a guy. :-) All right, off to tennis. Hopefully I won't pass out from a heat stroke.

In regards to the trailer...very well done. Very interesting cinematography, my favorite part being the lightning quick shot of the close up of your face. Did someone hold the camera up in the tree for you (in the beginning when you look up), or did you rig the system to the tree? When the arrow starts flying I could hear the "Pirates of the Caribbean" theme inserted there, but as pirating is illegal (no pun intended), your music score inserted there was very good. Interesting that the "Groomsmen", including the name itself, all end with the "N" sound. Maybe you do all have a future together...not sure what kind of musical genre that kind of picture promotes though. Thanks for posting the sneak peek of the trailer. Have a blessed week.

Good job on the trailer. We like how you have the arrow speed along through the trees. We really liked it overall. And we love your cool jump position in The Groomsmen. Hope you have a good week.

Hey Melissa, I think I can speak for Jordan and assure you that music was not from Pirates. :-) It was leftover from the royalty-free orchestral tracks we purchased for "The Book of Being". Although I'll admit the styling does sound very similar to Hans Zimmer. Anyway hope you guys like our more light hearted trailer as much as this one. We're waiting until San Antonio to premiere it (if it's accepted of course).

Hah, I never realized how much that song does sound like something from Pirates till you mentioned that, Melissa. Even that beat ... "da ... da da dum ... da da dum ... da da da da da da dum" (oh c'mon, you know what I mean). :-) Yeah, Jeremy was kind enough to scale the ladder I set up for him to get that above shot ... did the same thing during my snow scene in 'BoB'. Hmmm ... bluegrass maybe? Or how bout just a bunch of crazy guys who travel around playing classical? Anyway, thank you kindly for the two thumbs up. Speaking of which, Thing 1 & Thing 2 ... I value your acclaim as though you were Siskel and Ropert. I can't imagine losing now (besides the fact that there will be other entries). :-) Thanks, you guys. Nate and I both just got confirmations that our trailers were receieved. Anyway, have a great weekend (and Michael, if you're reading, fun talking to you last night).
