Hey Jordan, Wow! You know, even though I have no relations whatsoever to the Thomases, I feel like I just got a another cousin or brother. May God bless you and Mellisa as you both enter a new chapter in your life. It was great to see you again and talk with you. I am glad that you enjoyed the parade. Trooper Dan was my favorite! God bless your week!

love the pics, esp. the engagement ones - so sweet! YOU HAVE NEVER HAD COFFEE BEFORE?!!!?? WHAT!!!??!? HOW HAVE YOU SURVIVED!?!?!?!? oh, my half-sister that i have believed to be estj all this time convinced me she is istj now. she scored quite high on introversion and says she isn't energized by people. whoa, i was shocked. anyhow, my family and i had a good time visiting her and her family up in MN for thanksgiving!

Wow Jordan, just... wow. What an incredible proposal, men everywhere are feeling insignificant. :-) I just want to thank the Lord again for all He has done! Your faithfulness paid off with His. Who would have guessed this time in your life would come so soon? Almost got a tear from my eyes too....almost. (But that's just the tough ENTP in me.) Love the song choice BTW. God bless you guys!

Ha ha! That is AMAZING! Seriously, Jordan, I'm so dang excited for you. And despite the fact that that proposal was one of the longest, most sentimental ones I've ever hear, you doing it in front of that many people, a video camera, and then actually posting it on the internet for the whole world to see ranks you in my mind as one of the bravest men on earth. Congratulations, man.

As one small candle may light a thousand, so the light here kindled hath shone unto many...Let the glorious name of Jehovah have all the praise-William Bradford-/ You are a brave man, my Jordan of Locksley. You are an example of godliness in such a needing society. You have lit a candle in a dark world. May that flame you have kindled shine bright unto many, even unto succeeding generations, as an example of the Lord's faithfulness in the lives of His people. May the Lord continue to strengthen that flame. May we ever burn bright for His honor and glory! I love you so much, my dear Robin Hood. To see the Lord answer my prayers with such a fine godly man has been nothing short of a miracle. Let the glorious name of Jehovah have all the praise! P.S. Great job on the blog, I am honored to be on it ;-)

Having known the Thomases for quite a few years now, it is so amazing to see how this has all unfolded. You have been blessed, Jordan, to receive the hand of such a wonderful girl, and to become part of such a great (even if slighly crazy ;-) family. Wishing you and Melissa all the best.

Hey Jordan, sorry I haven't written in a while (unless you did some filling in for me and signing in my name like you usually do), but I've been busy. But, that was a truly magical moment, and something I will only say once and never again, which is why it is a good thing you'll have it recorded on your blog, but I'm proud of you and that you have hung in there through all the tough times and it has finally paid off, and I gotta say, that I always knew you'd find a great girl someday and that you'd make a great husband (btw, for those who don't know me, I am heterosexual). Anyway, good grief, I am on my 8 year old computer that can barely even handle minesweeper anymore. During the proposal, it kept freezing up and I was like, "jordan, will you just spit it out already!"... I know that took a lot of guts, and you did it, you the impossible: Who would have ever thought that? I know I sure didn't... *must hold back... and be good.. ahhh*

Congratulations Jor and Melissa! A wise man once said, “Nothing that you have not given away will ever be really yours.” And so it is that we must paradoxically give our hearts away to in order to behold the heart of another—a miracle on earth. As Jor’s older brother and companion over all these years, few can equally appreciate the miraculous nature of this God-honoring relationship. I am amazed. God has been very kind to you both. I am so proud of you lovebirds for doing things in such a morally upright fashion. That is rare. You’re a breath of fresh air in an increasingly stale culture. I believe our Father in Heaven is very pleased with you. That's all that matters. Jordan, that you may experience the deepest love that God has provided you in this earthly life, you now have God’s perission to lose yourself—finding your manly identity in Melissa. By loving and serving her—in equal and full measure—you will find your greatest happiness! That’s wonderful. What a cause for rejoicing! As your brother I am very pleased, proud, and grateful to be a part of this new and exciting chapter of your life. Melissa, as your newfound brother and sister, I and Danielle are thrilled at the thought of your arrival into our family! We’re rolling out the red carpet as I type this. Finally, Jordan, my advice to you …uh …this is getting a bit long for a blog comment isn’t it? =) Sorry. ...is that you aim at being the most self-less husband that ever lived, and you will get unimaginable love thrown in; aim at pleasing yourself (as the world does), and you will find zero fulfillment. May the world’s brand of love—a false representation—find no place in your affections for each other, but rathe may the supernatural wondrous love that comes from Love Himself, Jesus Christ, be ever present in your midst. Melissa, now that you’re Jordan’s woman, I can say that you’ve attained instant VIP status on this property, and Danielle and I love you very much. We're here for you--always. We very much look forward to finding ways to bless and encourage you both in your future together—as husband and wife. Without a doubt, we’re your biggest fans! Peace to you!

Guess I'd better put in a good word for this betrothal, since I'm l00% behind it. Thank you, Mark and Monica, for raising such an exemplary, godly daughter, and thank you Melissa for already gifting Jordan with your unconditional love and acceptance. Thank you, Heavenly Father, for this gift of love that can only come from your stash of perfect gifts. I stand in awe....

I am finally getting my act together and commenting on your blog. You don't need to say it - I KNOW I have issues... ;) Wow. What can I say? That was one of the most amazing experiences of my life and something I can't count on ever seeing again. I mean, what are the odds that you'll see the coolest guy propose to your dearest sister? (Well, I DO have 8+ sisters, so I guess it's not ENTIRELY impossible. ;) Such a special, God-blessed moment. Thank you so SO much for including our family in the event. We love you! :) Man, what an insanely fun post - that video of Micaiah will become a cult favorite on the new "Things 1 & 2: The Classic Moments" DVD (to be released next year? ;). Thanks for being so kind to Susannah. I seriously thought you'd watch "Sweet Liberty Freedom" ten times when you finaly got away from her. Loveable squishy bug? Hmm...I think she was more of a ribcage-crushing terrorist. LOL :) Have a great weekend!

Congratulations Jordan, You have never heard of me, but I can say with some authority that God has blessed you greatly. What is that authority? My daughter was Melissa and Michael’s baby sitter when they were both in diapers (Sorry, Melissa, it had to be said). From there, we have watched the two Thomas girls grow in beauty and God’s grace (the boys, too, except for the beauty :-)) We have often said that the men that won their hearts would be among the most blessed of men. Looks like you are one of them. Oddly enough, my daughter, Erin, beat Melissa by just a bit by being married in our yard this October (see Michael’s blog). To our joy, all of the Thomas’s were in attendance.

What can I say? I am floored. Every one of you has blessed Melissa and I so tremendously with your kind words ... we're speechless. Thank you! I did not expect so many of you to come out and send your well-wishes, but I'm so glad you did. This step of the journey has been nothing short of incredible, and I want to sincerely thank you all so much for allowing us to share it with you. Most of all, thank you for your continued prayers! I'm just a child at heart, and this time of "growing up" is and will continue to stretch me beyond what any previous experience in life has thus far. Praise Him for it!

With A Grateful Heart,
